
Jennifer Huisken LaPointe is a senior consultant Public Sector Consultants. She brings over 15 years of experience in the education arena, with expertise in special education policy, state education systems, program development and implementation, program evaluation, technical assistance, training/personnel development, and process facilitation. In her role at PSC, she analyzes policy issues in the area of education and provides strategic counsel, research, and facilitation services to clients. She is currently serving as the evaluation project manager for the Arkansas Department of Education’s State Personnel Development Grant.
Prior to joining PSC, Ms. Huisken LaPointe served at the University of Minnesota’s Institute on Community Integration as a State Technical Assistance Specialist, where she provided leadership in the management and operations of a regional center of technical assistance and dissemination related to federal disability law to nine states served in the North Central region and the National Technical Assistance and Dissemination Network. During her time with the North Central RRC, she served as national convener of General Supervision Priority Team for the National Regional Resource Center Program and liaison to the SIG/SPDG Network for the North Central region.
While at the University of Minnesota, Ms. Huisken LaPointe also served as project director for several federally funded projects. In this capacity, she coordinated project activities, including training, technical assistance, program evaluation, and product development. Ms. Huisken LaPointe holds a BA in Special Education with honors from Hope College and a master’s degree in Social Work with a certificate in Disability Policy and Services from the University of Minnesota School of Social Work.
